Modern Margariti

Main Street 2012 has changed considerably over the years. Most poignant is the barrier for cars.  Imagine needing such a barrier!  For so many years this little village knew no cars.  The donkey-sized streets were donkey-sized for exactly that reason.  When Chevi, the Nifi,  married and lived her young life here, she saw only two cars pass through the town.  And I, as a nifi in 1983 saw only a handful of cars pass by.  But today, you would be hard pressed to find a parking space as cars line the streets of the village square.
